by Lea Primary School teacher Glyn Woodruff but performed by parents!

Men Ride Again
('hogroast' & carols)
Saturday, 5 December, 2009 1pm onwards (note
this has been brought forward a day).
The now famous,
or is that infamous, Jug Men Ride Again...back by popular demand they'll
perform the traditional 'ritual dance' to bring on a white Christmas.
Check out previous events...last year's
December event and their St
George's Day dance.
There'll be a spitroast and carols afterwards.

It was a fantastic
night of 'live' music and an autumn barbecue. There are plans for her

We've
started our Fish & Chip Takeaway service between 5-7pm on Wednesdays
(began 4 March, 2009). Of course, you can experience the unforgettable
ambience of the old traditional inn by eating them here. It's now switched
to Fridays between 5.30-7pm

Alan Moore's unique Tribute Show was a smash hit, just
look at our picture special. Alan was staggered by the response and
enthusiastic midweek Jug crowd, some of whom enjoyed delicious Elivs
Burger & Chips before the outstanding performance.

Tuesday celebrations at The Jug include Pancake Races 5pm for
children and 6pm for adults. There'll be pancakes served with various
fillings.

Sunday, 25 January, 2009
Celebrations
of Scotland's national bard Robert Burns, including piping in and toasting
the haggis, peoms, tasting the traditional haggis, neaps and tatties
dish, and dancing in evening starts was fantastic fun and a great success.

sing-song in The Jug after the traditional festive Married versus Unmarried
folk on the Mill Pitch in Lea Bridge. For the record, the Married won
1-0 with a great strike in the 83rd minute from Richard Burke, which
Unmarried defender Ivor Mellor got a touch on!
