are some useful directions to find us from various locations. You can
use these or the more traditional maps to locate The Jug and Glass.
If

From M1
Junction 28
Distance: 10.4 miles
Estimated time: 20-25 minutes
At Junction 28 roundabout take
the A38 signposted to Derby.
After just over three miles take the slip road exit signposted to Alfreton
(Travel Lodge roundabout) and A61.
Then at roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A61 signposted Alfreton
and Chesterfield. Before you come to a set of lights branch left and
merge onto the A615 signposted Matlock.
After just over a mile at traffic signals turn right onto the A615 signposted
Matlock.
Shortly after, up a slight hill bear signposted Matlock. After 3.2 miles
and travelling through Wessington an the Matlock road turn left on onto
Dethick Lane, quickly after a crossroads.
After three-quarters of a mile take the first left onto Shaw Lane. After
half of a mile, as a T-junction turn right onto Lea Main Road.
Continue through Lea Village down a hill, and after little more than
a third of a mile Lea Park is on the left and The Jug & Glass is on the

From Crown Square,
Matlock
Distance: 4.7 miles
Estimated time: 10-12 minutes
At Crown Square roundabout take
the A615 signposted Alfreton.
Cross the mini-roundabout onto Causeway Lane continuing along the Alfreton
road.
After just over three miles, having gone through Tansley, turn right
onto Dethick Lane, shortly before a crossroads.
After three-quarters of a mile take the first left onto Shaw Lane.
After half of a mile, as a T-junction turn right onto Lea Main Road.
Continue through Lea Village down a hill, and after little more than
a third of a mile Lea Park is on the left and The Jug & Glass is on the
right
From Market
Place, Ashbourne
Distance: 13-14 miles
Estimated time: 30-40 minutes
From Market Place turn right onto
King Street B5035 signposted Wirksworth, Matlock.
Continue for just over seven miles, through Kniveton, past Carsington
Water, over crossroads a Middleton, and at a T-junction turn left onto
Cromford Hill Ð B5036.
Down the slow, steep hill after a mile you'll be at the Cromford traffic
lights.
Take a right and then sharp left onto Mill Road. There's a sharp left
and right over a bridge.
Just continue straight along this road until you come to John Smedley
Mill, where you will turn to the left at the bottom of a hill.
Continue along this road, and up a hill and at the top take a right onto
Lea Main Road. Lea Green Development Centre is on the right and The Jug
& Glass a little further on the left. From the A6 it is just over three
miles.
From Chapel
Street, Belper
Distance: 7.8 miles
Estimated time: 15-20 minutes
Starting from the McDonalds roundabout
in Belper, near Morrisons supermarket, take the A6 signposted Matlock.
After 5.2 miles, having gone through Ambergate on the way, you see the
Derwent Hotel ahead of you, just after Whatstandwell Railway Station.
Turn right, signposted to Crich as the A6 goes left over a bridge.
After less than 100 yards turn left onto Robin Hood Road signposted Holloway.
After about a mile you have travelled up a sharp hill and hit a T-junction.
Turn left down the hill, passed the closed Yew Tree Inn pub and take
the next right onto Church Street, at the small green. This takes you
through the centre of Holloway, passed a big church and school on the
right.
After just over half a mile take a right turn, at the crossroads known
as 'Common End', up a sharp hill and bear left at the top on to Lea Main
Road.
Lea Green Development Centre is on the right and The Jug & Glass a little
further on the left.
From Pentagon
Island, Derby
Distance: 18.0 miles
Estimated time: 25-30 minutes
Starting from the Pentagon Island
Roundabout take the exit onto the A61 signposted Chesterfield A61.
Travelling down the A61 Sir Frank Whittle Way you'll travelling over
two roundabouts and after just over two miles reach the Little Eaton
Roundabout.
Take the 3rd exit onto the A38 signposted The North, Ripley, Mansfield.
After seven miles branch left signposted Matlock, Ambergate, Ripley,
then at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A610 signposted Matlock,
Ambergate.
Travel on the A610 3.4 miles, through Buckland Hollow and passed the
Excavator pub, until you reach a T-junction.
Turn right onto the A6 signposted Cromford, Matlock.
After two miles, having gone through Ambergate on the way, you see the
Derwent Hotel ahead of you, just after Whatstandwell Railway Station.
Turn right, signposted to Crich as the A6 goes left over a bridge.

From West
Bars Roundabout, Chesterfield
Distance: 14.2 miles
Estimated time: 25-30 minutes
From the West Bars Roundabout
turn onto the A619 signposted Bakewell, Holymoorside, Buxton.
Travel three quarters of a mile and at roundabout take the 1st exit onto
the A632. Continue 5.5 miles, through Kelstedge up Slack Hill, and onto
Matlock down a steep, long hill until you hit a T-junction at Matlock
Green.
Turn left onto the A615 signposted Alfreton.
Travel 2.5 miles, through Tansley, and turn right onto Dethick Lane,
shortly before a crossroads.
After three-quarters of a mile take the first left onto Shaw Lane.
After half of a mile, as a T-junction turn right onto Lea Main Road.
Continue through Lea Village down a hill, and after little more than
a third of a mile Lea Park is on the left and The Jug & Glass is on the
right
